Returns, Refunds & Exchange Policy

Barely Human Studio

At Barely Human Studio, every product is made especially for you once your order is placed. Because our products are created on demand rather than mass-produced, we aim to maintain a fair and transparent return policy for both our customers and our small creative business.

Please read the following policy carefully before placing an order.


Made-to-Order Products

All Barely Human Studio products are made-to-order. This means each item is printed, packed, and prepared specifically for you after purchase.

Because of this production model, we currently do not accept:

  • returns for buyer’s remorse,

  • exchanges due to incorrect size selection,

  • cancellations after production has started,

  • or returns based on personal preference.

We strongly encourage customers to review:

  • sizing charts,

  • product descriptions,

  • garment details,

  • color options,

  • and shipping information carefully before placing an order.


Damaged, Defective, or Incorrect Items

Your satisfaction matters to us, and if something arrives wrong, damaged, or defective, we will absolutely do our best to make it right.

We offer replacements, store credit, or refunds for:

  • damaged products,

  • printing errors,

  • manufacturing defects,

  • incorrect items received,

  • or products significantly different from the order placed.

Examples include:

  • cracked or broken mugs,

  • misprinted graphics,

  • major alignment issues,

  • torn or damaged apparel,

  • wrong size sent by mistake,

  • or incorrect product variants.


No Physical Returns Required

Due to the made-to-order nature of our products, Barely Human Studio does not typically require customers to physically return items for replacements or refunds unless specifically requested by our support team.

If there is an issue with your order, please contact us with:

  • your order number,

  • a description of the issue,

  • and clear photos of the product.

Once reviewed, we may offer:

  • a replacement item,

  • store credit,

  • or a refund depending on the situation.

Please do not send products back without contacting us first, as unauthorized returns may not be accepted.


Reporting an Issue

If there is a problem with your order, please contact us within 7 days of delivery.

To help us resolve the issue quickly, please include:

  • your order number,

  • a brief explanation of the issue,

  • and clear photos showing the problem.

Photos help us work with our production partners to provide the best possible resolution.


Lost Packages

If your order appears lost during shipping, please contact us and we will investigate the shipment with the carrier.

Packages marked as “Delivered” by the shipping carrier but reported missing may not always qualify for replacement or refund, though we will still try our best to assist whenever possible.


Size & Fit Responsibility

Please review the sizing guide carefully before purchasing apparel.

Since all apparel is produced specifically for your order:

  • we cannot guarantee exchanges for incorrect size selection made by the customer.

For oversized or relaxed fits, product descriptions may include additional fit recommendations where applicable.


Color & Print Variations

Please note that slight variations in:

  • print placement,

  • garment color tones,

  • screen/display color settings,

  • and production batches

may naturally occur during the printing process.

These small differences are considered normal and are not treated as defects.


Order Cancellations

Orders may only be canceled before production begins.

Once an order has entered production, it cannot be modified or canceled because the item is already being custom-made.

If you need help immediately after placing an order, please contact us as soon as possible.


Refund Processing

Approved refunds are typically processed back to the original payment method within several business days depending on your payment provider or bank.

Replacement orders may require additional production and shipping time.
